Some people don’t believe in rewards during Potty Training. I will admit that I was originally one of those people. My daughter learned how to use the potty practically on her own. It seemed like I blinked and she was out of diapers and staying dry all day and night.
My son has been a much different story! We have given him his choice of mini candies for going #1 on the potty, we have given him stickers for a Potty Chart and we have even taken him to McDonalds for staying dry all day!
Sarah from www.confessionsofaslackermom.com has made up a sample Potty Reward Chart for you to use. Head on over to Sarah’s Blog to check it out. The chart is really cute and fun! Thank you, Sarah.
My 6 1/2 year old daughter actually made my son a sticker reward chart for the first week of his potty training experience. The chart that she made actually helped in getting her involved in the whole process so that she didn’t feel neglected. Every time my son used the potty, she would quickly get her potty chart and help him put a sticker in the correct box. He took that chart with him to bed for two days straight!
I’ve always known that every child is different, but I am really getting it now!
