We absolutely LOVED every single one of the Zippity Doos Hair Care Products! From the Shampoo to the Conditioner, the Detangler, Styling Gel and the Shield Spray. They all smell so amazing! I love the smell of my daughter’s hair after we use these products – it is so refreshing and yummy smelling!
I am one of those paranoid Moms who really DOES NOT WANT LICE IN HER HOUSE! When the Teddy Bear who travels from house to house came to our home, the first thing that I did was wash it! My daughter wears her hair UP every single day! This will change as she grows older, but for now, in the young years when the kids are in such close quarters etc. etc., I will do everything in my power to keep our house lice free! This is why I love the idea of a daily use shampoo and conditioner! ANYTHING that I can do to help us keep those little pests out of our home!
The shampoo is probably my most favourite product of all of them! It smells so yummy and it lathered nicely.

We found we had to use a bit more of the conditioner compared to our other conditioner in order to keep the detangling quality the same. We LOVE the smell of this conditioner! Yum! Yum!
We used the hair gel every day that my daughter went to school to help keep her hair from flying away when I put it up in a pony tail, a braid or pig tails. It worked, although it was a bit sticky, but maybe that is part of the trick of being lice free 😉 It too smells nice, light and even slightly minty! LOVE IT!
I really like the option of having a detangling spray for times when we don’t use enough regular conditioner (my 6 year old likes to have more and more control and sometimes she doesn’t use enough!) or for when we go to the pool.
I love the idea of the Shield Spray! I did use it on my daughter’s backpack because we all know that backpacks hang side by side and when there is a huge lice infestation in a classroom (which we did have in my daughter’s classroom this spring!), the lice can crawl from one bag to the next very easily. The one thing about the spray that left me slightly uneasy was the flammable label on the spray. I’m not too sure how I feel about that. The jury is out on that.
And now for a giveaway!
Please note: I am trying out RaffleCopter as a means of giveaway entries. Rafflecopter is still very new and is currently in “test mode” so there still may be a few glitches (on their part and on mine!). I’d love your feedback on it – do you love it, like it, hate it and why! You can leave your feedback in the comments on this post. The comments on this post aren’t included in the random entries – those are tracked in Rafflecopter. Also, if you don’t see the Rafflecopter pop up after you click on the “Read More” button below, either click on the title of this post OR try viewing this in a different internet browser.
I get my daughter to sing a song as I’m combing the knots out of her long hair! It helps to distract her somewhat
I get my daughter to tell me about her day whilst we are getting the knots out of her hair…it helps keep her mind off it!
My daughter’s hair is still not long enough to put up but I used to used olive oil and a comb tto remove the cradle cap from her hair.

I have always used Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner.
As a result, I have, thankfully never had to deal with lice.
This product looks like it will give the same result, but is a more ‘fun’ product for kids to use.
Thanks for the great giveaway. ~Pauline

my daughter’s hair is not quite long yet, but starting to curl up in the back. she wont keep any barrettes in, so we go with big stretchy headbands with a giant flower on them for a cute look when she needs to dress up!

Elastics that are ouchless are the best for kids!!!
I have yet to experience the hair portion of child care, my son just had his first hair cut a few months ago and my daughter is only 4 mos and it’s just starting to grow. However, my son had some cradle cap pretty badly and I tried everything but the only thing that worked was olive oil!

I took pictures of her with different hairstyles and made a photo album lookbook for her to choose from each day- no more whining about hair!
I’ve dealt with lice on three occasions and it is not fun, so this would be great!
I put my daughter’s hair up or pulled back every day, but often she comes home with it down. As a result I remind over and over not to share brushes, hats….
But, dressup clothes really scare me, because I have no control over them!
We braid her hair so that it doesn’t get tangled overnight.
My mom would make us laugh as she got the worst knits out by making this crazy yelping noise. She still does that with my girls.
