Total Floors® Pet Bissell Vacuum {REV!EW and G!VEAWAY}

For me, if I am able to see a true Before and After shot of how a specific product works, I am often convinced rather quickly whether or not it is something that I am interested in.

We have a dark carpet (note to self, NEVER EVER buy another dark carpet again!) in our family room. Our family room is a major traffic place in our house. It sits between our open front hall and our kitchen. As a result, it is a path for crumbs, dirt and debris! I could vacuum every single day and the carpet would only look clean for about an hour a day, I’m sure.

Vacuuming is one of my least favourite chores. Although I love the looks of a clean floor, it is the process that I don’t enjoy.

I have to say, however, that the prospect of a new vacuum to test out was very exciting to me! So, when I received the Total Floors® Pet Bissell Vacuum, I couldn’t wait to get my paws on the new machine and to put it to the true test!

Here are the visual results for you:

It took me approximately half an hour to open the box, put the vacuum together and get my cleaning started. I did find the instructions to be slightly challenging (vague), but once I figured it all out, the vacuum was put together and worked like a dream! I am a visual learner and I found the photographs in the manual to be difficult to see due to their size and the steps were not as useful as I feel they could have been!

I tested out the tools on my drapes and stairs:
I loved the Turbo Eraser Tool as it allowed me to clean my stairs with a moving brush tool that was small enough to reach every spot on my stairs. Because this vacuum has an extra long cord, I didn’t have to re-plug in the vacuum while I did my stairs! VERY convenient.

I also used the Trubo Eraser tool on my couch as my children are my pets, but instead of shedding (well, they do that too), they leave crumbs everywhere! The suction was excellent when using this tool on the couch and I felt that my furniture was left crumb and dust free! I did find that I wished for the hose to be slightly longer (although I understand why it is not) as it was challenging to reach to the top of my couch without dragging the vaccuum base behind.

I also enjoyed using the Pet Hair Fabric Tool (I call it the magical dusting wand) to clean my drapes, something that I dread doing because I either have to take them apart and wash them OR they get sucked up in my vacuum. Not any more! The attachment that allows you to clean drapes has a gentle suction, just enough to suck up the dust and hairs through the small holes that will not allow the fabric to get pulled through.

My kitchen has ceramic tiles and hardwood. There are constantly crumbs everywhere, thanks to my sweet, little children. Lowering the vacuum to the “bare floor” setting was easy and the vacuum literally sucked up all of the crumbs from quite a distance. I liked the fact that there is a “turn off brush” feature that allows you to clean bare floors easily.

When I was done my cleaning adventure, I loved the light scent that the Febreeze Filter left behind. Emptying the full dirt container was SO easy! I have owned vacuums in the past that were bagless and were very difficult to empty. Not this one! It came out easily, emptied out without making a mess anywhere and snapped right back into place nicely.
