Back in December, I shared with you the story about my special Parker Pen when I was a child. One of the best gifts I’ve ever received for Mother’s Day is from my DD6 – last year. They made placemats for the moms with a poem and a picture they made then laminated it. I use it every time I eat at the table.
My boys picked me flowers from the field, when they were very little. They looked so proud.

My daughter gave me the cutest garden statuette. It’s especially memorable because her Dad thought he’d accidentally burned the box with the statuette in it-he hadn’t-so he “replaced” it and now I have two!

Best gift I ever got was a silver plated book mark engraved from kids and the top had a spot with a picture of them and my husband. It’s beautiful and I love it.
My son made me a sign for my door when he was in kindergarten. It said “Mom resting time.” It was the best gift.

I don’t know about the best but the funniest was a Fridge Magnet with World Best Dad on it. Apparently my daugher picked out the one for Mom but my son switch it and got the one with the dog instead of the cat on it. It somehow went missing.

It is silly, but I grabbed my mom a coffee mug that said “Worlds Greatest Grandma” and I had no idea she liked it so much until she called to ask me if I could get her a replacement, exactly the same. She broke the handle off when unloading the dishwasher. What was funny is that I had bought a “Worlds Greatest Grandpa” at the same time and they were is some mom & pop shop and were out on a sidewalk table, reduced to maybe $2. I had bought them as more of a extra little gift or stocking stuffer for xmas. Who knew?!
it’s my first mother’s day, so haven’t received anything yet, but my mom was most happy to get a piece of jewellery with her kid’s birthstones
I got earrings for Mother’s Day from my toddler kids. I think maybe their Dad helped.

I am a new mom, so far my best gift has been spending the day with my family with no interruptions. It doesnt happen often enough and it was super special last year being my first year in mommyhood. My favourite gifts are definitely going to be the little handmade goodies in the future

Any gift for me is memorable and special. One that stands out was my eldest daughter trying to make me breakfast with things she didn’t have to cook. It was quite a sight lol! Two types of yogurt, cut apples, oranges, plums(all fruit in the kitchen lol!) cereal-Froot Loops, all mixed together, toast and juice. She was so proud.
My best Mother’s Day gift was hand made book my 7 year old daughter gave me that showed all the things that she liked to do with me. It was adorable!

My daughter gave me a ‘spa gift package’ for my birthday a few years ago. It had all my favourite Body Shop products. Christmas 2012 Sara gave me a big basket filled with Body Shop products. She knows what her Mum likes…chocolate and bubble baths!!
My daughter gave me a really pretty mom and daughter necklace when she was little. She said it looked like us. It was very thoughtful.
