When my daughter was 9 months old, I was nursing her and I was gazing into her adorable little blue eyes when I happened to notice a dot that didn’t look like it belonged. Good thing I did because one thing lead to another and let’s just say that we caught something at an early age because we took her to the eye doctor!

    I wear progressives really only for my detailed work as ortho dental assistant but am considering tri-foculs even though they are old skool and still have the lines! Gathering opinions on that switch back…I really need more magnification area, do you think it may be the answer?

    They say to start eye exams at 6 months. Why are they not every year after that? The video said 6 months, 3 years and every year after they start school.

    If a 6 month old baby gets a eye exam and it comes back they have bad eye sight, do you have eye glasses for babys or do you wait for when they are older??

    My question is: My 11year old JUST got glasses. The optometrist said it’s common for children to start needing them after a big growth spurt (which she just had).

    is her prescription likely to stay pretty much the same or continue to worsen?

    my question is in the last 6 months my eyesight has changed, i guess age, but now i have to hold things far away to see the small print, people are telling me i can just get those $10 reading glasses from the pharmacy for that. is that okay to do or do i need a perscription

    I have a similar question to that of a lot of readers: how and why do you test a 6 month old? I can see (pardon the pun) testing the eyesight of a toddler/preschooler but not sure about the baby thing.

    I turned 40 and had to get reading glasses. Now, one year later I find that while the reading glasses are good my eyesight seems to be getting progressively worse. When should I see the optometrist again to get new glasses?
