I love bagels, but I do find that sometimes there is just too much “umph” to them! I am very happy to announce that Dempster’s now has thin bagels that have only 100 calories each!
They come in three varieties:

white with whole grains

Multigrain 100% Whole Grains and

Cinnamon Raisin
I’m a sweet tooth, so I’ve always been partial to sweet bagels myself. I love the Cinnamon Raisin kind, but the other two are great with cream cheese or peanut butter.
Finally, a company who is up with the times, realizing that people are wanting to cut down on their portion sizes. Thank you, Dempster’s!
One bonus with thin bagels is you no longer have to worry about them getting stuck in the toaster and potentially frying yourself when you use a knife to get it out (and you’re half asleep and forget to unplug the silly thing)! We use a toaster oven for everything now, but back in the day when we did use a regular toaster, I used to squash regular sized bagels in order to squeeze them into our toaster. Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?
We received all three varieties for sampling and I am pleased to say that all three bags disappeared before their due date, something that very rarely happens with bread products in our house. These bagels were the perfect size for snacks, meals and we even used them toasted to compliment a burger meal! Yum!
Thin Bagels are available across Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada in the bakery section at major grocers including Co-op Atlantic, Food Basics, Freshco, IGA, Metro, Price Choppers, Sobeys, Super C and Walmart.
