Let them help pick out the vegetables and fruit at the market. Then when you prepare them, make a point of saying, this is what you picked out- that will make it really good.
This helps them recognize what is good, and lets them make choices.

A trick I use to get my kids to eat healthy is let them pick out the fruits and veggies at the supermarket, then have them easily accessible to them in the fridge.
Get your children to help plan the meal menus. Tell them the food groups that must be included in each meal and then work together to plan well-balanced meals (and snacks).
I found with my son that if you cut ANY veggie julienne style (long and thin) that he would eat it no matter what it was because apparently long, skinny things are fun to eat.

hmm.. a trick?..Hide them !! lol Hiding veggies is pretty easy with some things,such as meatloaf and spaghetti sauce.etc..my son do love his potatoes and carrots and corn tho!

I take my kids grocery shopping with me to help me pick the produce, and they can help with preparing dinner.

When my kids were young I used to “sneak” veggies in their food. I shredded carrots and zucchini and added them to spaghetti sauce, and I added shredded carrots to meatloaf.
Oh you definitely have to sneak those pesky fruits and vegs into their food! If that doesn’t help, just put some peanut butter on almost anything and they will eat it!

The best tip I can give is to eat healthy yourself and the kids will follow. My son only wants what I eat and he doesn’t care if it’s mushrooms or tofu, he’ll eat it!

I use the blender to put veggies they don’t like mixed into sauces — that way they can’t see them and don’t realize they’re there!! Tricky, aren’t I? lol

eating healthy needs to start from birth, also making them understand the difference between a healthly snack and junk food. We grow a garden and i find the children eat eat because they helped grow it

Make an area in a cabinet or bottom fridge shelf with readily available healthy foods for them to be able to get themselves (with your supervision of course).
We grow our own garden- each girl has her own space where she chooses what to grow, and that spot is her responsibility. They’re always excited to eat things they’ve grown themselves! – Jenna O.

I serve raw veggies…they like them better than cooked. I also have a bowl of fruit on the table.
My trick is don’t bring junk in the house, they will eat what they have access to.
I buy lots of fruits and vegetables and I let the kids pick out fruits and vegetables that they would like to try at the store.

Cut fruits and veggies into bite size pieces and serve them in a small cup. Somehow kids think this is more of a treat than eating them off of a plate.

I think making food fun encourages kids to eat so … cutting veggies in different shapes and calling them different names (like broccoli becomes trees and carrot sticks can be swords) makes it fun to eat. My parents told me not to play with my food but … a little play might just be the trick to getting them to eat healthy!

I lead by example! We eat all of them same food which includes lots of fruits and veggies. I also think eating together so the kids can see you eating is helpful to0!
I make smoothies for my toddler – I throw everytthing she doesn’t eat from her meals into a blender with plain yogurt and fruit. She gobbles it all up!

I think children follow a lot of what their parents do.. so teach them by eating well yourself.. and hope they follow suit
