I Need Some Shaving Tips!

I am in a wedding this weekend and I am the Matron of Honour. We are wearing shortish black dresses which means that I am not able to hide my legs.

I’ve been using an amazing self tanner to give my legs a sun kissed glow instead of looking like white sticks. My next hurdle will be to shave without cutting myself. The last thing I want is to have a gouge out of one of my ankles, which I have been known to have.

What are your secret shaving tips?

One of my tips, which seems SO simple, but I’ve only just recently discovered it is to know that the position of my leg matters! I shave standing up in the shower; I much prefer to put my leg up on the edge of the bathtub, but I don’t do that anymore. What I’ve learned is that I need to keep my feet flat on the floor when shaving around my ankles. If I bend my foot so that only the toes are touching the floor, this gives me easier access reach wise, but it also guarantees that I’m going to get a cut.

I’ve also started to use a squeeze type shaving cream, which I feel is very moisturizing (this is key) but it is also better on the environment.

I love the feel of a nice shave, but truth be told, I don’t do it as often as I should. This also increases the likelihood that I’m not going to get a good shave.

So, what are your shaving tips? Please do share.
