This post was written by my hubby! He says he is “A husband, a father, and an engineer. In that order.”
Recently I was given the opportunity to review the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler. I am, quite possibly, the precise target demographic for this product because:
- I look extremely goofy without facial hair.
- As a result of number 1 above, I always maintain some form of facial hair.
- I am married to a woman who believes that any facial hair longer than 0.25″ is “scruffy”, “unkempt”, “messy” and generally unpleasant to look at.
(So, yeah, there is no talk of Duck Dynasty, or even James Harden, around these parts. It isn’t just a case of I should be usīng this razor; I need this razor for the sake of my marriage. I kid, sort of.)
The Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler is a combination razor and trimmer. It has three trimmer height attachments, plus a razor head attachment that fits standard Gillette Fusion blade cartridges, allowing you to switch from shaving to trimming seamlessly. I personally use a separate Fusion razor for wet shaving, just to avoid the mess of shaving cream on my trimmer, but I would probably only pack the Pro Styler if I were traveling.
The trimmer works great, much better than the haircutting clippers I was using previously, because of its smaller head. I liked how I could get a better look at my face while I was styling my beard (and by “styling” I mean “getting rid of those stupid stray hairs that make my beard look like crap”).
Overall, I really liked the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler, and will continue to use it to save my marriage maintain my facial hair (sorry, Gillette, I do not “manscape”).
Features include:
- Gillette’s most advanced razor blade technology for incredible closeness and comfort.
- World-Class Blades: thinner, finer blades and an advanced low-resistance coating enable the razor to cut through facial hair with less tug and pull than Fusion.
- Precision Edging Blade to help sculpt crisp and defined facial hair lines.
- Battery-Powered Design for easy use anytime and anywhere with no cords or charging time.
I love the fact that this is in fact a 3 in one precision grooming tool. I’ll bet that at least two of my sons would love this little machine.
This looks like a handy tool. My partner manages right now with a trimmer and a bic razor combination, but he might like this!
