Paint Chip Turkey {CRAFT}

Next week is American Thanksgiving. While I am Canadian, I do love American Thanksgiving as my birthday falls around that special date and it is also a time when my family starts to decorate for Christmas!

When thinking of Thanksgiving crafts for children, turkeys always come to mind!

My daughter came up with this adorable craft to make a turkey using paint chips as the feathers. It is colourful, it reuses paint chips and it is super easy!

Depending on your child’s age, you might have to cut out the two circles for them (for the head and body) and provide them with craft materials to glue on for the eyes, beak, waddle and legs. Otherwise, this craft is super simple to do and requires very little adult assistance.

Craft Materials:

  • paint chips in a variety of colours
  • brown construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • materials for the eyes, beak, waddle and legs/feet and wings
    (suggested materials: googly eyes, markers, construction paper, pom poms)

Happy Thanksgiving, next week, to my American friends!
