Earlier this week, my family and I headed to the Grand Hotel & Suites in Toronto for a mini “staycation”. We visited Centreville (more on that in another post), went to the Eaton Centre and enjoyed some down time in the hotel pool.
I can tell you how beautiful this hotel was, but we all know that pictures speak louder than words, so here we go….
Our double room suite was extremely spacious and clean!
We were also spoiled with two washrooms, and while the beds were much softer than we are used to, the duvets were luxurious.
We were always greeted by extremely friendly staff throughout the hotel and we even received a nice welcome gift!
Each bedroom came with its own tv and dvd player which was great when our kids needed some “down time” to themselves.
The fresh flowers everywhere were simply gorgeous and the modern outdoor furniture created a beautiful, relaxing environment.
My favourite part of the hotel was the rooftop!
One day, I would like to visit this hotel again without children and enjoy some peaceful time curled up with a good book and relaxing in the hot tubs!
Our family really enjoyed the breakfast in the Citrus Restaurant!
There was a large selection of hot and cold food choices and I have to say it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.
They might have had me convinced at the illy coffee, which I thoroughly enjoyed and was much needed. As wonderful as a hotel is, when you are travelling with children, it can be rather exhausting, so the really good coffee was much appreciated.

That was mine and a certain ex-boyfriend’s favourite downtown hotel. Stayed there more than once, loved the rooms and you are spot on about the delicious breakfast!

Love the kitchenettes at the Grand. So perfect for travelling with kids. (oh and I can’t wait to hear all about Centreville!)
