Stained Glass {CRAFT} for Preschoolers and Up

Stained Glass Craft via @MultiTestingMom

One night after dinner, my amazing hubby got an idea.

This idea provided the children with a craft that inspired their creativity and imaginations!

They had such fun with their Daddy that night.

  • sturdy cardboard
  • adult scissors
  • child scissors
  • yarn
  • white glue
  • aluminium foil
  • markers (permanent work best, but child friendly markers are ok too for the younger child)

  1. Have an adult cut out a square or rectangle from the sturdy cardboard.
  2. Child spreads the glue all over the piece of cardboard.
  3. Cut some pieces of string (on the shorter side) and have child make a shape with their string.

  1. Place a large piece of foil over top of the yarn and gently press with fingers around the string shape.
  2. Wrap the foil around to the back of the cardboard.
  3. Gently colour the creation with markers (note – permanent markers would work best).
