Be Prepared for Lice this Upcoming School Year with Quit Nits {REV!EW and G!VEAWAY}

The fall is one of the more common times that the Lice rear their ugly heads in schools! I have learned of a natural way to prevent lice as well as a way to get rid of them if you are unfortunate enough to have them land on your head!

Quit Nits, distributed by Hyland’s, Inc. is an all natural Lice Remedy and Prevention product.

I will admit – I am a bit of a germophobe – this extends into worrying about getting lice. The year before I was in Teacher’s College, I was working at a private school and we experienced a HUGE lice outbreak. I got myself checked each day and even though I was given the “lice free thumbs up” from the school nurse, I still felt like I was crawling with them. How I ended up being a Kindergarten teacher and not worrying about lice is beyond me.

Anyhow, the reason why I tell you this is because I was SO paranoid about having lice that I actually bought the Lice Killing TOXIC shampoo and did the treatment, even though I didn’t have the lice. I was THAT worried that I actually had it and that the nurse didn’t look carefully enough. Can I tell you the burning that my scalp endured that day?! WOW! Why the burning? Because I put mega toxic chemicals on my head (in hopes to kill whatever lice could be crawling around in my hair. I was paranoid.

Anyhow, since having children, I’m always keeping my eyes open for chemical free ways to rid lice so that I am prepared if either of my children come home with a case.

This is why I am excited to say that I have discovered Quit Nits.

Quit Nits has two products:
Advance Lice Treatment Cream and Preventative Spray

You can buy a Complete Kit that contains both or you can purchase the Preventative Spray separately.

Both products are made with certified natural active ingredients originating in the Australian outback. They are Non-toxic and contain no chemical pesticides. All Quit Nits products are safe for repeated use.

The fragrance is strong, but pleasant. It reminds me of a citronella smell.

The Treatment Cream has only TWO easy steps:

  1. Apply the treatment cream thoroughly to dry hair, and leave it on, covered for 4 hours.
  2. Wash the treatment cream out.

The best part is that NO COMBING IS REQUIRED to remove the nits.

We will be using the Preventative Spray this fall as my kids go back to school and I am crossing my fingers that we never have to use the Treatment Cream!
