It is a video, but there are no words other than in the music, so it counts for Wordless Wednesday, doesn't it?!
It reminds us why teachers become teachers in the first place, but it also reminds me why I became a parent too.
I became a teacher, years ago, because I love children. I care about children and I wanted to make a difference. That is why most teachers become teachers. We need to remember that!
I became a parent almost 8 years ago now because I love children and I wanted to have the opportunity to raise my own. I want to be there for them, to love them, to have fun with them, to guide them and to support them.
This video is a reminder that when our young children are having meltdowns about something or our older children are devastated about something, we need to be there for them. We need to remember that we were once there too! Even though as an adult, many of the things that children go through seem minuscule, they aren't small to them. In that moment, how they are feeling and what they are going through is everything!
I've never understood why people post their Wordless Wednesday posts on Tuesdays, but they do and so will I so that I don't miss out on all of the fabulous linky opportunities!
