My boys are pretty easy to care for, and my little girl is a touch too young to experience her hair being done (8 weeks!). But, when I was doing my nieces and sister's hair when I was younger, water with a touch of conditioner in it worked great. This brush looks like it would have taken most of the struggles away however! Would love this on hand before my littlest requires it, so she knows of nothing else;)
ReplyDeleteMy kids just got hair and I don't yet have a brush...
ReplyDeleteThanks for making this open to Canadians.

We use a tea tree oil spray in the mornings on the hair & any hats to help reduce the chances of unwelcomes pests coming home.
ReplyDeleteAllow more time. Don't leave everything to the last minute.
ReplyDeleteMy tip? Buzz it off, or cut it super short....but of course I have boys ;)
ReplyDeleteFor me it would be getting it cut to a reasonable length to make it more manageable.
ReplyDeleteMy tip: A short boys haircut works great. Not sure what I will do with my daughter but I like reading the tips.

Have regular trims to keep hair healthy and more manageable
ReplyDeleteI FIND THE BEST WAY IS TO START THE NIGHT BEFORE EITHER PUT THE HAIR IN A BRAID OR BUN OR PONY TAIL ON TOP OF HER HEAD WITH A SATIN SCRUNCHIE THE TRICK IS GETTING THEM TO DO IT.!-THANKS!
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter's hair is extremely curly & gets tangled very easily. We have a detangler spray that works wonders, but the Knot Genie sounds like it would be a fantastic addition to our routine.
ReplyDeleteMy rafflecopter name is Julie G.
I homeschool so it isn't a real big issue. But my daughter has recently gone from using the kiddy body wash/shampoo and is now using my shampoo and conditioner. It helps with the tangles when she brushes her hair after her shower.
ReplyDeleteBoth of my DDs have super curly hair. We braid it at night to help keep some of the knots out. In the morning it's a quick spary with water and some leave in conditioner before brushing.
ReplyDeleteI use leave in conditioner. Spray a bit on and the knots usually come out pretty good
ReplyDeleteA lot of hair 'food' and large assortment of bands.
ReplyDeletepony tails every day
ReplyDeleteWe always use detangling spray!
ReplyDeleteNot yet as eldest is 2, but I have noticed her hair is starting to get long enough to tangle. Yikes! Loving all the tips here.
ReplyDeleteit's all about pony tails or handbands - keeping hair off the face and neatly pulled back
ReplyDeleteentering in rafflecopter as jen s.
For thick hair that knots easy, use satin pillowcases.

I have a spray bottle that I fill with water and I add a little conditioner to it. It helps with static.
ReplyDeleteI get my little guys hair cut short do it styles better and also I wet it to style it too!
ReplyDeleteFor girls, braids are a nice way to keep the hair neat while at school and they look great
ReplyDeleteMy girls like to have their hair braided at night before they go to bed. When they wake up in the morning they take the braids out. Their hair is curly and very easy to brush because they have no knots.
ReplyDeleteMake sure she doesn't try to brush her hair with a comb in the opposite direction.
ReplyDeletei have boys so its pretty simple
ReplyDeleteno ticks here - but would love to try this brush on my girls curly hair - being a straight haired chick myself I really am at a loss with how to manage those golden locks!
ReplyDeleteWhen in doubt, throw them in a ponytail! :)
ReplyDeleteI just keep it simple, either a ponytail or loose hair - no fancy accessories to lose.

I don't have any tips...I just make the best of it.

My daughter and I both have really knotted hair. We find a ponytail to be the easiest morning hair solution.
ReplyDeleteI always use a spray bottle cuz my girls have curly hair and when the hair is wet its easier to comb I've been watching youtube to learn how to do easy hair styles like the twist braid and a fishtail braid
ReplyDeleteThe secret is tons of conditioner and brushing as soon as she gets out of the bat or shower.
ReplyDeleteif its a girl and they keep it clean and combed then treat them to hairbands and pretty things for their hair buttttt if they dont want to let you wash it or comb it...then cut it lol. but a spray bottle to help flatten it in the early morning rush of going to school
ReplyDeleteTying her hair back when she is doing activities really helps.
ReplyDeleteUsing a hair serum works wonders at targeting frizz!
